Neal Gussis

Neal Gussis and his team provide loan advisory services for self storage owners nationwide.

During the past 30+ years, Neal has sourced well over $5 billion in debt for self storage industry owners. In fact, a far majority of the owners are either repeat clients or referred by another owner. His clients have come to rely on him for his thoughtful advice along with his resourcefulness and creativity.

His commitment to his clients goes well beyond just shopping for financing. Whether it be for an acquisition, refinance, construction, or expansion, countless satisfied property owners have turned to Neal for his finance and commercial real estate insight.

As a testament, SPMI has utilized Neal’s expertise in sourcing debt and working with its capital providers as they have grown their portfolio to more than 80 self storage locations. After 20+ years of working as a trusted mortgage broker for the organization, in late 2023, it made good sense for him to join forces as a part of SPMI and form SPMI Capital.

Being a division of Strat Property Management, Inc, (SPMI) Neal continues to be an asset to the organization in securing the financing for the SPMI portfolio. SPMI is among one of the largest privately held owner, management, and consulting companies in the self-storage sector.

Neal is married to his wife Jennifer and is a proud dad to two college-aged children. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a B.S. in Business, and he is a registered CPA and a licensed real estate broker in Illinois.
